Meet Scott Grosskreutz

Bio

Scott R. Grosskreutz, MD, is a diagnostic radiologist at Radiology Imaging Associates, located in Denver, Colorado. His strong educational background, research experience, and years of experience in his field make him an asset to the communities he serves. 

Dr. Grosskreutz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from North Dakota University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Dakota. His post-graduate training includes a Diagnostic Radiology Residency with an emphasis on Mammography and MRI at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Additionally, Dr. Grosskreutz completed training in Hyperbaric Physiology at the Naval Undersea Medical Institute, earning certification as a Navy Diver with mixed gas and saturation diving experience. He also completed an Integrated Transitional Residency at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Grosskreutz has held several prestigious positions, including President of the Hawaii Radiological Society, Chairman of Radiology at Hilo Medical Center, and President of the Hawaii Breast Society. He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. His professional memberships include the Hawaii Medical Association, Hawaii Radiological Society, American College of Radiology, American Medical Association, Radiologic Society of North America, and many others.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Grosskreutz has made significant contributions to the field of radiology through scientific research and advocacy. Dr. Grosskreutz has served on the ACR Government Relations Committee and Breast Commission, contributing to the ACR response to USPSTF mammography guidelines. He founded the multidisciplinary Hawaii Breast Society and organized the Hawaii Physician Shortage Crisis task force, meeting with Congressman Ed Case to address Hawaii's access to healthcare crisis in 2020. 

Dr. Grosskreutz has been honored with various awards, including the American Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year and the ACS Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Award. He has been recognized in Marquis Who's Who in America, Guide to America's Top Radiologists, and Honolulu Magazine's Hawaii's Top Doctors, among others.
