Radiology Imaging Associates announced it is expanding its partnership with Rad AI, the nation’s fastest growing radiologist-led AI company, to use its advanced technology in generating customized radiology report impressions. This partnership builds on RIA’s dedication to accurate and efficient patient diagnosis no matter what their condition.
RIA has also partnered with Boston-based AI and radiomics company, Clarity AI to explore the development of a new and improved breast cancer risk assessment tool.
Dr. Fernando Boschini, RIA Neuroradiologist and Board member states, “The incorporation of RadAI into our workflow has been fantastic. The efficiencies gained and the ease of use have been enthusiastically received throughout the practice. Moreover, the team at RadAI has been great to work with and we look forward to the ongoing partnership.”
Rad AI automatically generates a customized impression from the findings and clinical indication dictated by the radiologist, using the most advanced neural networks. It learns each radiologist’s language preferences from their prior reports, to create an impression that the radiologist can simply review and finalize. In addition, Rad AI improves report accuracy and consistency by making sure to include significant incidental findings, answering the main clinical question, and providing the latest consensus guideline recommendations for follow-up. The impression appears in the practice’s voice recognition software as soon as the radiologist finishes dictating the findings, without any clicks, hotkeys or new windows.

Clairity’s tool is based on the individualized imaging patterns rather than population-based models that are lacking in accuracy. Giving each patient a personalized, focused view of her own images tracked over time. Through this partnership, RIA anticipates being able to provide the Clarity index score on every mammography screening exam report. This will ensure that all patients have the most possible information in making medical decisions going forward. Dr. Connie Lehman, Founder of Clairity, believes, “too many patients are given a cancer diagnosis when it’s too late to help them. It’s time to empower everyone, everywhere with the information and choices we all deserve.” Dr. Lora Barke, RIA physician champion, adds, “Using imaging data to predict cancers earlier enables clinicians to develop personalized care plans that ultimately, will save lives.”
Several other AI platforms and investments are currently under evaluation and RIA looks forward to continuing to unlock the potential of new AI solutions with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes.
