Matthew Schmidt, MD

Matthew Q. Schmidt, MD, is a diagnostic and cardiothoracic radiologist at Radiology Imaging Associates. At the practice's multiple locations in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Schmidt delivers exceptional care to patients requiring an accurate diagnosis to treat diseases and injuries.

Dr. Schmidt began his education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated summa cum laude with his bachelor's in chemistry and a minor in biology. While he pursued his doctor of medicine degree at Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. Schmidt also earned his master's in business administration at the Creighton University Heider College of Business. He graduated magna cum laude.

Dr. Schmidt further honed his skills through an internal medicine internship at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado, before his acceptance into a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship.

As a skilled practitioner in cardiothoracic and diagnostic radiology, Dr. Schmidt has authored numerous medical publications, articles, and presentations. He is licensed in basic and advanced cardiovascular life support, along with being a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the Society of Thoracic Radiology, and the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging.

Dr. Schmidt is actively involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of medical students and residents and remains a lifelong learner himself, showcasing his commitment to providing advanced patient care. He welcomes new patients to Radiology Imaging Associates.
